Where do the downloads come from?
Each collection links to the original publisher or a project’s established distribution service. Choose the version, region or file you need there. Atlas is an independent directory; availability and transfer speeds depend on the source.
Can I resume an interrupted download?
If the source supports HTTP range requests, a download manager can continue a partial transfer. With curl, use curl -L -C - -O "FILE_URL", replacing FILE_URL with the direct file link. Keep the partial file and check that the remote file has not changed before resuming.
How do I check that a file is intact?
Compare its SHA-256 checksum with the value published by the project. On Linux, run sha256sum filename.iso; in Windows PowerShell, use Get-FileHash filename.iso -Algorithm SHA256. A matching checksum checks file integrity; use the publisher’s signature verification instructions when provided.
Can I use these resources in my own project?
Check the license attached to the individual dataset, image or asset. Public downloads can have attribution, redistribution or other requirements. The publisher’s documentation is the source of record for each collection.
